One Class Classification Using Implicit Polynomial Surface Fitting

چکیده
When the number of objects in the training set is too small for the number of features used, most classification procedures cannot find good classification boundaries. In this paper, we introduce a new technique to solve the one class classification problem based on fitting an implicit polynomial surface to the point cloud of features to model the one class which we are trying to separate from the others.

Implicit Fitting Using Radial Basis Functions with Ellipsoid Constraint
Implicit planar curve and surface fitting to a set of scattered points plays an important role in solving a wide variety of problems occurring in computer graphics modelling, computer graphics animation, and computer assisted surgery. The fitted implicit surfaces can be either algebraic or non-algebraic. The main problem with most algebraic surface fitting algorithms is that the surface fitted ...
متن کاملAffine Invariant 3L Fitting of Implicit Polynomials
Combining implicit polynomials and algebraic invariants for representing and recognizing complicated objects proves to be a powerful technique. However, a basic requirement for using implicit polynomials for affine invariant recognition is to have an affine invariant fitting algorithm. In this paper, we study the problem of affine invariant fitting of an implicit polynomial to data. Received Ja...
متن کاملEvolving Implicit Polynomial Interfaces
Although algebraic or so-called “implicit polynomial” curves have been studied rather extensively for several decades, to the best of our knowledge, a dynamic formulation of them, similar to active contours, has not been done yet. This paper develops a dynamic formulation for implicit polynomial curves based on level set formalism. In particular, it is shown that utilization of an implicit poly...

Although algebraic or so called “implicit polynomial” curves/surfaces have been studied rather extensively for several decades, to the best of our knowledge, a dynamic formulation of them, similar to active contours, has not been done yet. This paper proposes to use implicit polynomial functions instead of signed distance functions in classical level set formulation and shows potential of such ...
متن کاملA New Robust and Fast Implicit Polynomial Fitting Technique
In this paper Fourier series expansion of polar representation of an object contour is used to obtain robust and fast implicit polynomial fittings for star shaped objects in 2D and 3D. The new fitting algorithm is compared with existing implicit polynomial fitting algorithms with respect fitting performance and timing requirements.
